JORUM+: will provide a practical 'test-bed' investigation into a digital repository for learning materials, one that is both capable of providing the technical infrastructure for storage and retrieval of learning objects, and stimulating the re-use of learning materials for UK further and higher education. Reload: objectives include the production of a suite of software tools for authoring and delivery of standard-compliant learning objects. Reload has free content packaging software available for download. Further information can be found at http://www.reload.ac.uk.

CETIS (Centre for Educational Technology Interoperability Specifications): Members of TOIA are also active within the CETIS Assessment Special Interest Group which coordinates the UK's FE and HE activities in the area of online assessment interoperability. This valuable open community forum allows both educational and commercial developers and stakeholders to discuss interpretation and implementation of the Question and Test Interoperability specifications. The CAA Centre: The Computer-assisted Assessment (CAA) Centre was part of a three year TLTP3 project on the implementation and evaluation of CAA. Established in October 1998, the Centre aims were to assist staff in higher education with the development and implementation of CAA. Further information can be found at http://www.caacentre.ac.uk

e3an: is a HEFCE funded Fund for Development in Teaching & Learning (FDTL) Phase 3 project (No. 53/99) The project has built a set of peer reviewed test bank questions for electrical and electronic engineering. It has also established and built a network in order to identify and disseminate good practice in Engineering Assessment to UK Academics. Further information can be found at http://www.e3an.ac.uk

COLEG: The Colleges Open Learning Exchange Group (COLEG) is an organisation made up from 43 of Scotland's Further Education Colleges and was established to develop learning opportunities through member colleges working together to generate, exchange and promote the use of high quality flexible learning materials. TOIA, e3an and COLEG are actively developing COLA (COLEG Online Assessment Project) templates and conversion tools to allow creation of interoperable assessments using MS Word. A version of the templates and conversion tool will be available for download from this site soon. Further information on COLEG can be found at http://www.coleg.org.uk
